2 Died, 1 Hurt Due to Fallen Tree


DAPITAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Norte (Dec. 22, 2018) - an accident transpired at Brgy. Dampalan, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:00 AM of December 21, 2018.

 Three (3) unidentified victims were hit by a fallen Mahogany tree that causes them sustained injuries.

Initial investigation conducted revealed that the three (3) victims identified only as:
        Rey Mag-Usara, (driver) legal age, male, of Brgy. Dasa, Sapangdalaga, Mis. Occidental together with back riders identified as
        Elma Pagasian Mag-usara, 49 years old and
        Estrella Omillada Pactol, 38 years old, both female and residents of Maligubaan, Concepcion, Missamis Occidental were onboard a motorcycle traversing the road going to La Libertad, Zamboanga Del Norte.

However, as they passed by the road of Upper Dampalan, particularly at the farm owned by Alfredo Sy, a Mahogany tree suddenly fell into the highway and accidentally hit them resulting to suffer serious physical injuries.

Victims were immediately brought to Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center for medical treatment but unfortunately, two (2) of the victims Elma Mag-usara and Rey Mag-usara were declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Vincent Troy Monte while the other victim identified as Estrella Pactol was undergone medical treatment at the said hospital.

Implementation of Search Warrant


DAPITAN CITY (Dec 19, 2018) – The joint elements of Zambonaga Del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company, CIDG Zamboanga del Norte and Dapitan City Police Station implemented the Search Warrant at Sitio San Roque, Brgy. Aseniero, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte on December 18, 2018 at about 4:30 AM.

The operation was conducted against Ranulfo O. Paglinawan, Barangay Chairman of La Victoria, La Libertad, but temporarily residing at said Barangay. This is by virtue of Search Warrant no. 10-S-2018 for violation of RA 10591.

The said SW was issued by Hon. Hilarion Jonathan G Maagad, Presiding Judge of MTCC Dapitan, 9th Juicial Region, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte dated December 17, 2018.

During the search, confiscated were the following:
 One (1) unit carbine cal. 30 m2 with sn# 410590;
 One (1) pc magazine assembly of cal. 30 m2 carbine;
 Ten (10) pcs of live ammos of cal. 30 carbine m2;
 One (1) unit norinco cal. 45 pistol with sn # 918579;
 Two (2) pcs magazine assembly of cal. 45 pistol;
 Eighteen (18) pcs of live ammos of cal. 45 pistol; and
 Two (2) pcs fragmentation grenade.

Also recovered from the possession and control of certain Christian Malacat who was in the same house during the search were one (1) Cal 38 revolver and eleven (11) live ammunitions.

At about 8:00 o’clock in the morning, suspects were brought to CIDG office for proper disposition.

Electrocution Incident Resulted to Death

DAPITAN CITY (Dec. 6, 2018) - Electrocution incident occurred at about 9:30 AM of December 5, 2018 took place at Sitio Dap-dap, Brgy Banonong, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The victim was identified Dolly Mae Recamara Ong, 29 years old, female, married and a resident of same place who was accidentally electrocuted which resulted to her death at said place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 9:30 in the morning of same date, the victim was decorating for her aunt’s wake and upon testing the lights of such, when she was suddenly electrocuted.

Cadaver was turned over to her family and now lies at the Gamalinda Funeral Investigator on case – PO3 Nick Quimiguing with CP number 9396355137.

Vehicular Traffic Accident


DAPITAN CITY (Dec. 2, 2018) - Vehicular traffic accident was occurred in front of Lite Ferries Ticketing Booth of Brgy. San Vicente, Dapitan City at about 12:00 midnight of December 1, 2018.

Two (2) vehicles were involved of the said accident. Vehicle 1 described as black Pick-Up Toyota Hilux, bearing plate no. YHF505, registered under the name of Universal Fair Corp., (UFCC), driven by Engr. Heremias Tero Julpa, 42 years old, male, a resident of P-28 Aglayan, Malaybalay,Bukidnon who presented his Professional Driver License.

Said vehicle were also on board with four (4) unidentified passengers. Vehicle 2 described as gray Mitsubishi Mirage G4 GLS1, bearing plate no B1-0737, registered and driven by Francisco II Ances Nuñez, 32 years old, male, married, and a resident of 25-H Nichols Heights Guadalupe, Cebu City, who presented his Non Prof Driver’s License.

Initial investigation conducted by Dapitan CPS disclosed that both vehicles went to the said place to buy a ticket. V1, which arrived first and parked in front of the said ticketing booth.

After his companion brought the ticket, the driver of V1, drove his vehicle backward and accidentally hit the V2, which was about to parked, that causes damages at the driver’s door of V2.

Both vehicles were brought to Dapitan CPS for proper disposition. After which, both parties decided to agreed that damages are to be shouldered by V1 via insurance.

3 person were wounded in Hacking Incident

DAPITAN CITY (Nov. 19, 2018) – Three person were wounded in Hacking incident occurred at Brgy Larayan, Dapitan City at about 7:30 AM of November 18, 2018.

The suspect was identified as Rico Parcotilo Tampipi, 42, while the victims identified as Mela Tampipi Anogot, (elder sister of the suspect), 48 yo and Danny Aramento Lijas, 39, all residents of said place.

Investigation conducted disclosed that while Mela Tampipi Anogot was at the house of Jhonamie Dosmion Chavez, the suspect arrived armed with bolo and without any apparent reason hacked the victim but fortunately, the latter managed to evade and ran inside the house.

Their neighbor identified as Danny Aramento Lijas who happened to saw the incident, intervened to pacify but he was also hacked by the suspect. They then scuffled and later recovered the bolo.

As a result, the suspect sustained wounds at the right side of his head, incise wounds on his neck and stabbed wound on his belly while Danny Lijas sustained lone hacked wound on his head.

Both suspect and the victim were brought to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital, Dapitan City for medical treatment. Motive of the incident is personal grudge.

Suicide Incident

DAPITAN CITY (Nov. 19, 2018) – Suicide Incident transpired at Sitio Maasin, Brgy. Talisay, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at around 6:30 AM of November 17, 2018.

The victim was identified as Ruel Icasiam Ortiz, 28 yrs. old, male, single, and a resident of aforementioned place.

Initial investigation disclosed that at around 6:30AM of November 17, 2018 the victim was seen by his father hanging inside his room with a rope tide on around his neck.

Further investigation conducted by Dr. Rolito Cataluña disclosed that the cause of death is Asphyxia.

Motive of the incident is believed to be depression. Cadaver was turned-over to his family for proper disposition.

Accidental Firing Incident


DAPITAN CITY (Nov. 2, 2018) - An illegal discharge of firearm incident occurred at Purok Lanzones, Brgy. Sulangon, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 8:30 PM of November 1, 2018.

The Dapitan City Police identified the victim as Herbert Bezar Sagario Sr., 42, male, married, construction worker and a resident of Purok Lanzones, Brgy. Sulangon, Dapitan City.

He was admitted at Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital at the emergency room with a gunshot wound on his left thigh.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the said suspect, believed to be under the influence of liquor gone home at around 8:00pm and took his unlicensed gun and went outside of his house. 

Moments later, his children heard a gun burst and immediately went outside. They discover that their father had a gunshot wound and rushed to the Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital.

The investigator conducted interview to the suspect and his children. At first, they refused to cooperate and hesitant to turned-over the firearm.

Later, they revealed were they hiding the gun. Intel personnel proceeded at the house of the suspect and recovered a 1-unit Revolver .22 magnum without serial number with 4 live ammunitions and 2 empty shell inside the cylinder beside the flower pot.

Subject person was brought to Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital for medical treatment and further transferred to Zamboanga Del Norte Hospital.

Meanwhile, at around 12:50am of November 2, 2018, the suspect was discharged from the mentioned Hospital and was brought and detained to Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.

Mauling Incident


DAPITAN CITY (Oct. 29, 2018) - Mauling incident occurred at Bgry. Burgos, Dapitan City at about 12:30am of October 28, 2018. The victim was identified as Ronnel Galanido Pacaro, 30 years old.

He was mauled by a certain Renerio Bael Dagpin, 43, male, married and a resident of Brgy Ilaya, Dapitan City.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 12:30am of October 27, 2018, the victim punched the suspect without apparent reason at the basketball court of Brgy Burgos, Dapitan City which led to a commotion.

The Brgy officials then pacified the situation but the suspect chased the victim and smashed him with a stone.

The victim sustained injuries on the head and was rushed to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital, Dapitan City but was later transferred to Zanorte Medical Center for medication.

Meanwhile, at about 3:00AM of same date, the suspect was successfully arrested and is now detained at Dapitan City Police Station for filing of appropriate charges in court.

Report on Hacking Incident
Hacking incident transpired at Zone 1, Brgy Ayala, Zamboanga City at about 11:30am of October 28, 2018.

The victim identified as June Mendoza y Alvarez, 52 yrs. old, single and a resident of Brgy Tulungatung, Zamboanga City was hacked by the suspect identified as Angelo Mendoza y Tumampos, 20 yrs. old, single of Zone 1, Ayala, Zamboanga City.

Victim sustained multiple hacked wounds in the different parts in his body and was rushed by the responding ambulance to Zamboanga Medical Center for medical treatment.

The suspect was arrested by Zamboanga City Police Station 9 and recovered from his possession one bolo.

Subject is presently detained at the said police station for filing of appropriate charges in court. The motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Hacking Incident


DAPITAN CITY (Oct. 15, 2018) - Hacking incident occurred at Brgy Sto. Niño, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 4:40 PM of October 14, 2018.

The suspect was identified as Hermie Erie Tolbo, 49 year old and a resident of said place and the victim identified as Dante Patayon Napigkit, 51 year old and a resident of Brgy San Pedro, Dapitan City.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim together with Potenciano Bermudo Baro, 39 year old were having a drinking session at the store of Roel Abitona.

Later on, the suspect arrived and without any words boxed the victim and not contented the suspect hacked the victim several times hitting in the different parts of the body that caused his instantaneous death.

Cadaver of the victim was turned-over to his relatives while the suspect was arrested by the responding team.

Personnel of Dapitan CPS are still conducting follow-up investigation to determine the motive of the incident. Investigator is PO3 Nick Quimiguing with CP no. 09505634375

RA 9165 Violator Held in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY (Oct. 5, 2018) – The Operatives of Dapitan City Police Station conducted manhunt operation particularly at Road 17, Brgy. Dawo, Dapitan City at about 9:00 PM of October 4, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of one Jeffrey Cayongcong Galleposo, 38 years old, male, single, resident of Purok Mauswagon, Brgy. Cawa-cawa, Dapitan City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Jose Rene G. Dondoyano of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 6, Dipolog City for Violation of Section 5 and 11, Art. II of RA 9165 docketed under Criminal Case numbers 20763 and 20764 dated October 4, 2018 without bail bond recommended (service of sentence).

Arrested suspects temporarily detained at Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition.

Dead Body Found

DAPITAN CITY (Oct. 4, 2018) – On October 3, 2018 at 8:45AM, a phone call from Mr. Winston Dongon, Operation Manager of Pulauan Port, Dapitan City informed Dapitan City Police Station that one passenger of MV Fast cat M6 RORO Cargo Vessel, from Dumaguete City needs a medical assistance while underway to Port of Pulauan, Dapitan City.

After receiving the said report, personnel of Dapitan CPS proceeded to Pulauan Port.

Upon arrival on the said place, the PNP Maritime, PCG, PPA, Port Police and CDRRMO are waiting for the arrival of the said vessel.

Upon docking, the team immediately boards the vessel and search for the said passenger.

The crew of the vessel guided the team to the upper deck were the passenger located. The team found the lifeless body of the passenger identified as Michelle B Taruc, 32 years old, female, a resident of Brgy San Antonio, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Initial investigation conducted by the personnel from 904TH Maritime Group of Zamboanga Del Norte and disclosed that, the subject person travelled from the Province of Tarlac going to Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay and accompanied by a certain Mr. Virgilio Baubay, 51 years old, male, resident of San Isidro, Municipality of Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte.

While on board on the said vessel, subject person told her companion that she feel exhausted and suddenly collapsed. The crew tried to revive the subject person but she did not respond.

According to her companion, the subject person already suffered from liver cirrhosis and recently discharged from Tarlac Provincial Hospital and wanted to go home to see her mother.

Further, a post-mortem examination conducted by Dr. Rolito V. Cataluña, Dapitan City Health Officer revealed that said cadaver died due to cardiac arrest secondary to liver cirrhosis.

Several prescribed medicine were recovered from her personal belongings. The cadaver was brought to Gamalinda Funeral Homes, Dapitan City.

Arrest of Wanted Person

DAPITAN CITY (Oct. 4, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Daptian City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Sulangon, Dapitan City at about 11:30AM of October 3, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of one Mark Sherwin Alingal Collados, alias “Mark Sherwin Alingal Tagapan”, alias “Sherwin Collados”, 16 years old, male, single, resident of said barangay. The suspect was included on the weekly target acquisition.

The subject person was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Rogelio D. Laquihon of RTC9, Branch 7, Dipolog City dated September 10, 2018 for the crime of Carnapping docketed under Criminal Case number 22654 with bail bond recommended amounting to One Hundred Eighty Thousand Pesos (P180, 000.00).

The said minor was brought to the said police station for documentation prior to its turn-over to DSWDO.

Man Arrested in Siayan, Zamboanga Del Norte for Homicide


DAPITAN CITY (Sept. 18, 2018) - PNP personnel of Siayan MPS and Dapitan CPS conducted joint manhunt operation at Sitio Matunog, Barangay Poblacion, Siayan, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 5:00 AM of September 15, 2018.

Thr oprtation was led to the arrest of Wilbert Ladiagonong y Agusto, 19, Single, Construction worker and a resident of Sitio Matunog Brgy Poblacion, Siayan.

The accused was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Cherry Joy C. Concha-Ageas of RTC9, Branch 10 Dipolog City for the crime of Homicide docketed under criminal case number 22632 with bail bond recommended fixed at One Hundred Thousand Pesos (P120, 000.00).   

The accused is now detained at Siayan MPS for proper disposition.

Fire Incident

DAPITAN CITYY (Sept. 14, 2018) - Fire incident transpired at the residence of Joseph Calasang Cagandahan, situated at Brgy Maria Cristina, Dapitan City, Zambboanga Del Norte at around 7:25 AM of September 12, 2018.

Initial investigation conducted by Fire Officer 1 John Beta Balanay, disclosed that the fire was started at around 7:20 AM of September 12, 2018 and was declared under control/Fire-out at around 8:30AM of same date.

The cause of fire was believed came from the unattended cooking area of the dirty kitchen from the said residence which is made of light materials. Estimated amount of damaged is more or less (Php100, 000.00). No casualty/injured during the incident.

RA 9262 Violator Arrested in Dapitan City


DAPITAN CITY (Sept. 14, 2018) – The Operatives of Dapitan City Police Station together with 904th Maritime Group conducted manhunt operation at Brgy San Vicente, Dapitan City at about 12:10 PM of September 12, 2018.

The operation was to the arrest of one Elmer Taruc Baroy, 33 years old, male, married, resident of Purok Mangga, Brgy San Vicente, Dapitan City.

He has a standing warrant of arrest charged for violation of Sec. 5(i) of RA 9262, under Criminal Case No. 22140 issued and signed by Presiding Judge Rogelio D. Laquihon, of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 7, Dipolog City dated September 5, 2018 with bail bond recommended amounting to (Php 24,000.00).

The accused now detained at Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.

Vehicular Traffic Accident


DAPITAN CITY (Aug. 27, 2018) - On August 25, 2018 at 7:50 PM, Vehicular Traffic Accident transpired along the National Highway of Brgy Opao, Dapitan City involving Two motor vehicles resulted to physical injuries and damaged to properties.
Vehicle 1 was a Black Racal motorcycle without Plate Number attached driven by certain Alex Romeo Remosora, 40 yrs. old, male, no driver’s license and OR/CR presented, a resident of Brgy Potungan, Dapitan City while
Vehicle2 was a Hino Rural Transit passenger bus with body nr 10514 driven by Felinor Seines Diao, 42, male, married, a resident of Brgy San Roque, Rizal, ZN. 

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that V1 was running from Brgy Polo to Brgy Opao, Dapitan City without headlight while V2 was running in opposite direction.

Upon reaching at the place of accident particularly at the curve lane, V1 overtook another vehicle occupying the opposite lane and accidentally bumped to the incoming V2.

The motorcycle fell on the road and the driver was thrown off and incurred injuries on the different parts of his body.

The responding CDRRMC ambulance brought the victim to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital for medical treatment while vehicles involved were temporary impounded to Dapitan CPS for proper disposition. Investigator is PO2 Julius Pelusas, 0947444086.

Woman Arrested in Dapitan City for Violation of Grave Slander

DAPITAN CITY (Aug. 17, 2017) – The PNP personnel of Dapitan City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Banonong, Dapitan City at about 6:10 PM of August 15, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of one Maridol Caidic Icao, 31 years old, female, single and a resident of said Barangay.

The subject person was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Hilarion Jonathan G. Maagad, of MTCC, 9TH Judicial Region, Dapitan City for violation of Grave Slander docketed under Criminal Case numbers 18189 and 18190 dated August 13, 2018 with bail bond recommended amounting to Eighteen Thousand Pesos (Php18,000.00) each.

The arrested suspect was included in the list in the Weekly Target Acquisition of wanted person of this office and now temporarily detained to this station for proper disposition.

3 Escaped Minors Rescued in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY (Aug.17, 2018) - The PNP elements of Dapitan City Police Station have rescued three minors who escaped from Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY), Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte during follow-up operation conducted by Dapitan CPS and CSWDO Juvenile Rescue Team at Tambak, Brgy. Banonong, Dapitan City at about 8:55 PM of August 15, 2018.

The minors were identified as:
Daryl Obordo y Portes, 15 yo, male, single, a resident of Brgy. Potol of this city with carnapping case filed at Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte,
Arnel Limod y Dumacsa, 17, male, single, a resident of Gutalac, Zamboanga Del Norte with Frustrated Homicide case and
Ronel “Mac-mac” Landero, 17, male, single, a resident of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay with Rape case.

Initial Investigation conducted disclosed that at around 2:00 PM of August 15, 2018, the three minors escaped from Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY).

They allegedly jumped over the fence at the back portion of the said center. Meanwhile, at around 9:30pm of same date the three minors were turned-over back to the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY) for proper disposition.


Slander Suspect Arrested in Dapitan City


DAPITAN CITY (Aug.17, 2018) - Police operatives of Dapitan City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Banonong, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 6:10 PM of August 15, 2018.

Wanted person arrested


DAPITAN CITY (Aug.16. 2018) - The personnel of Dapitan CPS led by PCI Malahay J. Said-DCOP conducted manhunt operation at Barangay Potungan, Dapitan City and arrested Rizalito Jacinto Arnido, 34 yo, male, married and a resident of said place at about 11:20 AM of August 14, 2018.      

The Subject was arrested by virtue of WOA issued by Judge Rogelio D. Laquihon, of Br 7, 9RTC, Judicial Region, Dipolog City for violation of RA 9262, docketed under CC no. 22590-22591 dated August 9, 2018 with bailbond amounting to Php24,000.00.

Arrested wanted person is now detained at Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.

Vehicular Traffic Accident


DAPITAN CITY (Aug.11, 2018) - Vehicular Traffic Accident transpired along the National Highway of Barangay Polo, Dapitan City at about 5:00 PM of August 10, 2018.

The accident was involving a tricycle and motorcycle, resulting to multiple physical injuries and damage to properties.

The red Honda Tricycle with apple green body cab, bearing temporary plate no. 090104, registered under the name of Rolando D. Balladares of Brgy. Taguilon, Dapitan City, driven by Marino Caermare Balladares, 31 years old, male, single, a resident of Purok C4, Brgy. Sulangon, Dapitan City, with passengers identified as
1) Desiree Galleposo Balladares, 21 years old, female, single,
2) Asa Katrina Candoy Adrias, 19 years old, female, single,
3) Shiara Galleposo Balladares, 19 years old, female, single, all of Brgy. Sulangon, Dapitan City,
4) Jeffrey Quizo, 17 years old, male, a resident of Brgy. Antipolo, Dapitan city; and the black Honda motorcycle, bearing plate no. 8146 JF, registered owner Levy Lagutin Sr., driven by Redemtor Macasandag Montac, 20 years old, male, single, a resident of Sergio Osmeña Sr., Zamboanga del Norte and temporarily residing at Crisostomo Ibarra St., Brgy. Dawo, Dapitan City.

Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident the tricycle was travelling from Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial State University, Santa Cruz, Dapitan City going to Brgy. Sulangon, Dapitan City whiles the motorcycle travelling from Brgy. Sulangon, Dapitan City going to Brgy. Dawo, Dapitan City, upon reaching at the aforementioned place of accident particularly at Sitio Lagbas, Brgy Polo, Dapitan City, the tricycle driver believed to be under the influence of liquor, overtook the motor cab travelling ahead, occupying the opposite lane resulted to accidentally bump to the incoming motorcycle. As a result, the motorcycle was press down on the tricycle front luggage carrier while the tricycle fell down on the highway and the side wheel was on top, both were incurred damage.

Both drivers and tricycle passengers sustained injuries and immediately rushed by the CDRRMO Rescue personnel onboard an ambulance to Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.

Thereafter, both drivers were transferred to Zamboanga Del Norte Medical Center, Brgy. Sicayab, Dipolog City.

The Vehicles involved were brought to Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition. Investigator on case is PO1 Andres Ruiz with contact nr. 09104919988.

Parricide Suspect Arrested in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY (Aug. 9, 2018) – The  personnel of Dapitan CPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok Guavas Dos, Barangay. Ma. Christina, Dapitan City at about 11:05 AM of August 7, 2018.

The operating team identified the arrested person as Flaviana Sagapsapan y Jumuad, 94 years old, female, widower and a resident of Brgy Ma. Uray, Dapitan City.

She was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Jose Rene Dondoyano of RTC, 9TH Judicial Region, Branch 6, Dipolog City dated August 3, 2018 for the crime of Parricide docketed under criminal case number 13706, without bail bond recommended. 

The arrested suspect was included in the Weekly Target Acquisition of wanted person of Dapitan CPS and now detained in the said police station for proper disposition.


Dead Body Found


DAPITAN CITY (Aug. 9, 1918) – A certain Robee Godoy Alajas, 26 years old and a resident of Barangay Banonong, Dapitan City and temporary residing at Tambasin's Apartment located at Barangay Dawo, Dapitan City reported to Dapitan CPS that at about 11:00 AM of August 8, 2018, she found her American National boyfriend dead at the room of their apartment. Her boyfriend identified as Steven Ray Parra, 51 years, male, divorced, US citizen and a resident of Wyoming, USA.
Initial investigation conducted revealed that said foreign national was complaining from back pain and took some medicines and at about 11:00am of August 8, 2018, he was found lying lifeless on his bed.

SOCO personnel are now conducting thorough investigation to determine for any foul play on said incident.

Wanted Person Arrested in Dapitan City


DAPITAN CITY (Aug. 6, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Dapitan City Police Station and Sindangan MPS conducted joint manhunt operation at Purok 1 Brgy. Opao, Dapitan City at about 9:00 AM of August 3, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the successful arrest of the suspect; he was identified as Reneboy Abne y Camingawan, 49 years old, male, married and a resident of Purok 1 Brgy. Opao, Dapitan City.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Reymar L. Lacaya, Municipal Trial Court (MTC), 9TH Judicial Region, Branch 11, Sindangan Zamboanga Del Norte dated March 04, 2018 for the crime of Estafa with Criminal case number S-3974. The arrested suspect is presently detained at the Sindangan MPS.

Woman Arrested in Dapitan City for Grave Slander


DAPITAN CITY (July 27, 2018) – The Operatives of Dapitan City Police Station and Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Public Safety Company arrested one wanted female during conduct of joint manhunt operation at Barangay Potol of Dapitan City at about 12:20 PM of July 24, 2018.

Police identified the arrested female as Merlyn Pon Y Vailoces, 35 years old, married and a resident of Brgy Na. Uray, Dapitan City.

She was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Hilarion Jonathan G. Maagad, Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC), 9TH Judicial Region, Dapitan City for the crime of Grave Slander with Criminal Case Number 18149. The case issued dated July 23, 2018 with bail bond recommended amounting to six Thousand Pesos (Php6, 000.00).

Arrested person is temporary detained at Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person


DAPITAN CITY, (July 7, 2018 - PNP personnel of Dapitan CPS conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Sigayan, Dapitan City at about 9:00AM of July 5, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Vergincita Ablao Sotillo, 65, female, widow and a resident of said place.

Subject was arrested by virtue of WOA issued by Judge Hilarion Jonathan G. Maagad of MCTC, 9RTC Judicial Region, Dapitan City, for violation of RA 8040 as amended by RA 10593, docketed under CC no. 18164, dated July 4, 2018 with bail bond recommended amounting to (Php 36,000.00).

Widow Arrested in Dapitan for Violation of RA 8040


DAPITAN CITY, (July 7, 2018) - PNP personnel of Dapitan City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Sigayan, Dapitan City at about 9:00 AM of July 5, 2018.

Arrested person is now detained under the temporary custody of Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.
