Suspect of hacking incident arrested in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY, Zamboanga del Norte (April 16, 2018) – A person was killed in hacking incident transpired at Purok Nangka, Barangay Ba-ao this city while the suspect was arrested by the responding personnel of Dapitan City Police Station.

In the initial investigation disclosed the victim identified as Gellermo De Jesus Aljas, 36 years old, male, single and a resident of Purok Nangka, Barangay. Ba-ao of this city.

The victim was hacked several times with the use of a bolo hitting on the different parts of his body that cause his instantaneous death by the suspect identified as Jimmy Tuyac Obnimaga, 25 years old, male, single and a resident of Brgy. Oyan, Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte. He was temporary detained at Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.    

Thievery Incident Suspect, Killed in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY (April 15, 2018) - Thievery suspect was killed inside the farm of Jay Sumalpong, located at Brgy. Sinonoc, Dapitan City Saturday at 1:00am.

Immediately personnel of Dapitan City Police Station responded to the report. Upon arrival at the scene, the responding team found a male person identified as Jayson Magtuba Calunod, 19 years old, male, single and a resident of Brgy. Sinonoc, Dapitan City was lying lifeless inside the said farm.

Initial investigation conducted that the said person entered the said farm and carted away game fowl and a hen. However, caretakers identified only as Jayson Alyas “Bandam” and a certain “Aryong” caught him in the act and shot him once that caused his instantaneous death.

Recovered from the crime scene are one (1) pc-spent shell of 12-gauge ammo and pc sack containing one (1) game fowl and one hen. The caretakers immediately fled away after the incident bringing the firearm used. Personnel of Dapitan City Police now conducted follow-up investigation to locate and arrest the suspects.
