Shooting Incident

Dapitan City (March 24, 2019) - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Uno, Brgy Banbanan, Dapitan City at about 8:40 in the evening of March 23, 2019.

The Victim was identified as Ramil Gumahad Caste, 44 years old, married, a resident of same place while suspect was identified only as “Joram Tu-ayon”, of legal age, male, unemployed, a resident of Brgy. Sulangon, Dapitan City, temporarily residing at the above-named place.

Immediately, personnel of Dapitan City Police Station proceeded to the reported place to conduct investigation.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, suspect boxed the younger brother of the victim identified as Ronald Caste.

Upon knowing the said incident, victim then confronted the suspect who believed to be under the influence of liquor.

The said confrontation resulted to a heated argument wherein suspect suddenly drew his caliber .45 pistol and shot the victim several times.

The Suspect then fled after the said incident. The victim sustained lone gunshot wound on the left part of his abdomen was brought to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital, Brgy Dawo, Dapitan City for immediate medical attention and later forwarded to Zanorte Medical Center, Sicayab, Dipolog City for further medication.

Further, three (3) fired cartridges of caliber 45 and one (1) piece slipper (right pair) owned by the suspect were recovered from the crime scene.

Personnel of Dapitan CPS conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect. Motive of the incident believed to be personal grudge.

Top 2 Most Wanted Person of Sindangan, Nabbed

Dapitan City (March 24, 2019) - on March 23, 2019 at about 9:30 AM, personnel of Sindangan MPS and personnel of Sindangan MPS conducted Intel driven manhunt operation at Brgy Taguilon, Dapitan City that resulted to the successful arrest of one Fernando Amamag-id Rigor, 45 years old, married, fisherman, a resident of Brgy Gampis, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte and listed as Top 2 Most Wanted Person of Sindangan.

Subject person was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 11, Dipolog City for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under CC Nr s- 5640 dated February 2, 2018 with bailbond recommended amounting to Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (P200, 000.00).

He arrested suspect was brought to Sindangan MPS for proper disposition.

High Value Target of PDEA, Captured


Dapitan City (March 24, 2019) - Joint elements of PDEA Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Office, Regional Drugs Enforcement Unit, Dapitan City Police Station and Piñan Municipal Police Station conducted buy-bust operation at Sitio San Antonio, Brgy. Aseñero, Dapitan City and boundary Purok Daisy, Poblacion North, Piñan Zamboanga del Norte at about 11: 00 AM of March 23, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Hanah Jane Atendido y Oliveros, 22 years old, single old, a resident of Sitio San Antonio Brgy. Aseniero, Dapitan City, an active member of Selda Singko Drug Group and considered High Value Target of PDEA Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Office.

Confiscated during the operation were: Two (2) pieces small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.

Confiscated non-drug evidence were: Two (2) pieces of 500 peso bill subscribed buy-bust money with serial numbers AL507880 and KT461063, One (1) transparent plastic self-sealing sachet and one (1) pc. Samsung cellphone.

Case for violation of Section 5 of Art II of RA 9165 is being prepared and the suspect was brought to Dapitan CPS for filing in court against the suspect.

Dapitan City Top 4 Most Wanted, Captured


DAPITAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Norte (Feb. 4, 2019) - On February 01, 2019 at about 4:30 PM, personnel of Dapitan CPS together with Sindangan MPS conducted manhunt operation at Brgy. Dagohoy, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The operation was led to the arrest of Top 4 Most Wanted Person. PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the suspect as Morindo Tanodra Motargo, 77 years old, male, married, a resident of the above-mentioned place and listed as Top 4 Most Wanted Person of Dapitan City Police Station.

Subject person was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Hon. Rogelio Laquijon of Regional Trial Court, Branch 7, Dipolog City for the crime of Rape in relation to RA 7610 docketed under Criminal Case Nr 8706 dated July 31, 2017 without bail bond recommended.

The arrested person is now under the custody of Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.

Man Arrested in Dapitan City for Firing his Gun


DAPITAN CITY (Jan. 13, 2019) - On January 12, 2019 at about 10:30 PM, a concerned citizen called to Dapitan City Police Station and informed that there was a person fired his handgun near the house of a certain Benny Selencio of Brgy Talisay, Dapitan City.

Acted on the report immediately, personnel of Dapitanc CPS responded to the reported place to verify the said report. Upon arrival thereat, responding team identified the suspect as Dario Aldolfo Biolanggo, 39 yo, married, a resident of the said place.  

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 10:30 PM of same date, the suspect believed to be under the influence of liquor, got wild and threatened his neighbor Benny Gumba Selencio, 36 yo, male, with live-in partner, by firing his handgun pointing to the ground.

The suspect was subsequently arrested and confiscated from his possession were one unit cal. 9mm pistol with serial Nr 4126M9 Beretta, with 1 magazine loaded with 10 live ammunitions with no firearms document presented. Arrested suspect is now detained to Dapitan CPS for further investigation and filing of appropriate charges in court.

Further, confiscated firearm is still under verification to determine its legal owner and status.
