DAPITAN CITY (April 15, 2018) - Thievery
suspect was killed inside the farm of Jay Sumalpong, located at Brgy. Sinonoc,
Dapitan City Saturday at 1:00am.
Immediately personnel of Dapitan
City Police Station responded to the report. Upon arrival at the scene, the
responding team found a male person identified as Jayson Magtuba Calunod, 19
years old, male, single and a resident of Brgy. Sinonoc, Dapitan City was lying
lifeless inside the said farm.
Initial investigation conducted
that the said person entered the said farm and carted away game fowl and a hen.
However, caretakers identified only as Jayson Alyas “Bandam” and a certain “Aryong”
caught him in the act and shot him once that caused his instantaneous death.
Recovered from the crime scene are one
(1) pc-spent shell of 12-gauge ammo and pc sack containing one (1) game fowl
and one hen. The caretakers immediately fled away after the incident bringing
the firearm used. Personnel of Dapitan City Police now conducted follow-up
investigation to locate and arrest the suspects. (By Jong Cadion)
