Woman Arrested in Dapitan City for Grave Slander

DAPITAN CITY (July 27, 2018) – The Operatives of Dapitan City Police Station and Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Public Safety Company arrested one wanted female during conduct of joint manhunt operation at Barangay Potol of Dapitan City at about 12:20 PM of July 24, 2018.

Police identified the arrested female as Merlyn Pon Y Vailoces, 35 years old, married and a resident of Brgy Na. Uray, Dapitan City.

She was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Hilarion Jonathan G. Maagad, Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC), 9TH Judicial Region, Dapitan City for the crime of Grave Slander with Criminal Case Number 18149. The case issued dated July 23, 2018 with bail bond recommended amounting to six Thousand Pesos (Php6, 000.00).

Arrested person is temporary detained at Dapitan City Police Station for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person

DAPITAN CITY, (July 7, 2018 - PNP personnel of Dapitan CPS conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Sigayan, Dapitan City at about 9:00AM of July 5, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Vergincita Ablao Sotillo, 65, female, widow and a resident of said place.

Subject was arrested by virtue of WOA issued by Judge Hilarion Jonathan G. Maagad of MCTC, 9RTC Judicial Region, Dapitan City, for violation of RA 8040 as amended by RA 10593, docketed under CC no. 18164, dated July 4, 2018 with bail bond recommended amounting to (Php 36,000.00).

Widow Arrested in Dapitan for Violation of RA 8040

DAPITAN CITY, (July 7, 2018) - PNP personnel of Dapitan City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Sigayan, Dapitan City at about 9:00 AM of July 5, 2018.

The operation was resulted in the arrest of Vergincita Ablao Sotillo, 65 years old, female, widow and a resident of said place.

She was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of RA 8040 as amended by RA 10593, issued by Judge Hilarion Jonathan G. Maagad of MCTC, 9RTC Judicial Region, Dapitan City, docketed under CC no. 18164, dated July 4, 2018 with bail bond recommended amounting to Thirty Six Thousand Pesos (Php 36,000.00).

Arrested person is now detained under the temporary custody of Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.

4 Arrested in Dapitan Drug Bust Operation

DAPITAN CITY (July 5, 2018) - City Drug Enforcement Team of Dapitan City Police Station with the coordination of PDEA arrested four personalities involved in illegal drugs during the conduct of illegal-drugs buy-bust operation at Nostalgia Pension House, Sunset Boulevard, Barangay Dawo, Dapitan City at about 12:05 PM of July 2, 2018.

Police identified the arrested four personalities namely:

Cesar Calasang y Mohammad, 24 years old, single, a Factory worker;

Paul Rendon Juran y Tabang, 23 years old, single, both residents of Brgy Ayala, Zamboanga City;

Joseph Acaylar y Cagandahan, 28 years old and

Jason Potoy y Calasang, 22 years old, all are residents of Brgy Banonong, Dapitan City.

The combined operating troops confiscated from the possession and control of four arrested persons the following:    

One pc small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be Shabu as buybust evidence,

One pc small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be Shabu,

One Five Hundred Peso Bill with Serial S.N. EQ238869 as buy-bust money,

One pc small matchbox containing several cut Aluminum foil,

One pc one hundred peso bill with serial number S.N. HB402933,

Two pcs lighter (color green and blue),

One pc blue Qnet cellular phone with sim card,

One pc black cherry Mobile cellular phone,

One pc black Samsung cellular phone with sim card,

One pc combination of black/white my phone cellular phone with sim card,

One pc color black wallet,

One pc identification card of Mindanao Auto and Technical Skill Training Center INC, owned by Cesar Calasang JR,

One pc identification card of Nationwide Multi-Purpose Cooperative owned by Cesar Calasang JR,

One pc identification card of Phil health owned by Cesar Calasang JR,

One pc motorcycle key and

One unit blue/black Honda 125 motorcycle with no plate number.

Arrested suspects together with the confiscated items were brought to Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.(by jong cadion)

1 Arrested in Implementation of Search Warrant in Dapitan

DAPITAN CITY (July 1, 2018) - Combined elements of Dapitan City Police Station, CIDG, Zamboanga Del Norte PPO Intelligence Branch and Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company arrested one person during the implementation of Search Warrant at Brgy Bagting and Brgy Oro, Dapitan City at about 9:45am of June 30, 2018.

 The search was conducted particularly at the two houses of Abraham Hanks Lincoln Gonzaga Alota, 47, married of the said barangays.

Police arrested the house owner by virtue of SW no. 005-2018, dated June 29, 2018, issued by Judge Jose Rene G Dodoyano of Br 6, 9RTC, Dipolog City for violation on RA 10591.

The operating troops confiscated in the house of the suspect were the following: 

a. One unit improvised homemade shotgun without serial number,

b. One pc improvised magazine of the homemade shotgun,

c. Two pcs twelve (12) gauge shotgun live ammunitions, and

d. Seven pcs twenty gauge shotgun live ammunitions.

Arrested person is now in custody of CIDG, Minaog Dipolog City for proper disposition.
