1 Drug Suspect Arrested

DAPITAN CITY (June 25, 2018) - On June 24, 2018 at about 3:45 PM, City Drug Enforcement Team of Dapitan CPS together with personnel of PDEA arrested one person for illegal drugs during the conduct of joint buy-bust operation at National Highway of Brgy Sulangon, Dapitan City.

Police identified the arrested person as Elbert G. Ocba, 33 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Mabuhay, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, a Newly Identified illegal drug Personality of Dapitan CPS.

Confiscated from his possession and control were the following:

One pc heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be Shabu as buy bust evidence,

One pc heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be Shabu,

One pc Five Hundred Peso Bill with Serial Nr EC289320 as buybust money,

Two pcs Twenty Peso Bill,

One pc Pouch/wallet color dirty white,

One pc of memory-card color black,

One pc sim-card talk n text,

One pc cellular phone (cherry Mobile) color white,

One pc disposable lighter color green,

One pc scissor color blue and

One pc sling bag color brown.

Arrested suspect together with the confiscated items were brought to Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.

Suspect arrested for Hacking Incident

DAPITAN CITY (Jun25, 2018) – A suspect was arrested for a female, the hacking incident took place at Barangay Sigayan, Dapitan City at about 12:30 AM of June 24, 2018.

Investigator on case- PO1 Gweyn Acorin identified the victim as Jenalyn Sotillo Pitogo, 31 years old, female, widow, a resident of said place was hacked by her boyfriend identified as Joel Regan Gutang, 46 years old, male, live-in, Filipino and a resident of Brgy. Barcelona, Dapitan City.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was at the house of his aunt at Barangay Sigayan attending a birthday party, when the suspect believed to be under the influenced of liquor suddenly came with a bolo and got mad and without apparent reason hacked the victim hitting on her left knee, he said.

The victim was brought to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital, Dapitan City for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested at Brgy Barcelona, Dapitan City, PO1 Acorin also said.

The suspect is now temporary detained at Dapitan CPS pending filing of appropriate charges in court. Motive is Jealousy.

Female arrested for stabbing her live-in partner

DAPITAN CITY (June 23, 2018) - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Talisay, Barangay San Vicente, Dapitan City at about 1:10AM of June 23, 2018.

Investigator on case SPO1 Alnito Elle Aya-ay identified the victim as Cezar Lopez Mariga, 32 years old, male with live-in partner and a resident of Purok Talisay, Barangay San Vicente, Dapitan City while the suspect was his live-in partner identified as Stefanie Pasula Calio, 25 years old, female, also a resident of same place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim and the suspect had heated argument inside their house. Minutes later, the victim went out to their house to avoid his live-in partner but the latter followed and suddenly stabbed the victim.

The victim sustained stab wounds on his back and the left portion of his neck and was brought to Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital, Dapitan City for medical treatment, SPO1 Aya-ay.

Meanwhile, at about 1:20AM of same date, the responding PNP personnel arrested the suspect. She was brought to Dapitan CPS and detained in the said police station pending filing of appropriate case in court.

Robbery Suspect Arrested in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY, Zamboanga del Norte (June 17, 2018) – The Personnel of Dapitan City Police Station arrested the wanted person during the conduct of manhunt operation at Barangay Banbanan in this city on June 14, 2018 at about 7:10 PM.

The police operatives identified the arrested person as Amado Abondo Quimequime, 31 years old, male, single, a resident of Sitio Simay, Brgy. Masidakon of this city.

The subject was arrest by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Ric S. Bastasa of Regional Trial Court (RTC), 9TH Judicial Region, Branch 8, Dipolog City, for the crime of Robbery with Criminal Case number 22290, dated February 26, 2018 with bail bond recommended fixed in the amount of twenty four thousand pesos (P24,000.00).

The arrested person is now under the custody of Dapitan CPS for proper disposition. (By J. CADION)

Violation of RA 10591 in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY (June 15, 2018) -  On or about 9:10 PM of June 13, 2018, concerned citizen called Dapitan CPS that a certain male person fired a handgun near Owaon Elementary School, Brgy. Owaon, Dapitan City.

PNP Personnel of Dapitan CPS immediately responded to verify the veracity of the report. Initial investigation disclosed that at about 9:00 PM of June 13, 2018, a commotion transpired at a funeral vigil at the residence of Jovencio Obordo involving Resolito Jumuad Alejado, 37 years old, single, a resident of said barangay and other unidentified persons.

Moment later, a gun burst was heard near Owaon Elementary School.

Thereafter, a witness saw Henrico Lagutap Bagalanon, 56 years old, married, a resident of same barangay, went out from the said school holding a handgun and walking towards his residence.

Suspect was arrested by the responding PNP personnel and further recovered from his possession were One (1) unit caliber .38 revolver loaded with five (5) live ammo and one (1) spent shell hidden under his house.

Resolito Jumuad Alejado also was arrested and both were brought to Dapitan City Police Station for further investigation. Investigator on case is PO2 Rolan Decipulo with contact Nr: 09161197828. (By JONG CADION)
