Fire Incident in Dapitan City

May 25, 2018, this office received report from Dapitan CPS that OOA 6:20am, a fire incident transpired at Brgy Dampalan, Dapitan City particularly at the Poultry Farm owned by a certain Alfredo Sy.

Cause of fire was electrical short circuit with an estimated cost of damaged more or less P50,000.00.

The BFP Dapitan declared fire out at about 6:45AM of same date no casualty/injured reported.

Businessman Arrested for Drugs in Dapitan City

The Drug Enforcement Team of Polanco MPS together with the personnel of Provincial Intelligence Branch of Zamboanga Del Norte PPO conducted Joint buy-bust operation at Brgy San Pedro, Dapitan City at about 12:30 AM of May 19, 2018.

This resulted in the arrest of Raffy Iglesia Recososa, 35 years old, male, married, born on Oct 24, 1982 at Aurora Province, Luzon, Businessman (Carenderia Owner), Highschool Graduate Newly identified Pusher and a resident of Katipunan St., Miputak, Dipolog City.

Confiscated from his possession and control were:

one (1) pc rectangular shape transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu as buybust evidence,

two (2) pcs rectangular shape transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu,

one (1) pc Five Hundred Peso Bill with Serial Nr EE940598 as buybust money,

one (1) unit black Samsung Cellular phone (keypad operated) and

one unit Orange Mio 125 Motorcycle with Plate No. Temp 13152.

Inventory and marking of evidences was witnessed by Hon. Roosevelt Mondinido-Brgy Councilor and Allan P. Ogoc-media representative.

Arrested suspect together with the confiscated items were brought to Polanco MPS for proper disposition

2 Arrested in Illegal Cockfighting in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY, Zamboanga del Norte (May 19, 2018) – The operating team of Dapitan City Police Station arrested two suspects for illegal cockfighting transpired at Barangay Hilltop this city during the conduct of operation Friday at 3:30pm.

Police identified the two suspects as Tito Bayron Gahuman, 52 years old and Isabelito Bagatua Largo, 49 years old, male, married, Filipino and residents of the said barangay.

They were arrested after they were caught in the act betting on the said illegal cockfighting game.

Other bettors able to run and scampered towards unknown directions.

The police operatives confiscated from their possession two (2) red game fowls, one (1) dead game fowl, one (1) piece gaff and four hundred (Php400.00) pesos cash as bet money.

Arrested suspects were brought to Dapitan City Police Station for further investigation and pending filing of appropriate charges in court. (By JONG CADION)

Murder Suspect Cuffed in Dapitan City

On May 15, 2018 at about 9:30 PM, PNP personnel of Dapitan City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Banbanan, Dapitan City.

This resulted in the arrest of Jeremy Gumahad Bocar, 29 years old, male, single, a resident of said place.

This is by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Jose Rene Dondoyano of Branch 6 of 9th RTC, Dipolog City, dated March 10, 2018, for the crime of Attempted Murder with Criminal Case number 19054 with no bail bond recommended.

Arrested wanted person is now temporary detained at Dapitan CPS for proper disposition.

Murder Suspect Arrested in Dapitan

Operatives of Dapitan City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Brgy Banbanan, Dapitan City at about 9:30PM of May 15, 2018.

This led to the arrest of Jeremy Gumahad Bocar, 29, and a resident of said place.

He  was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Jose Rene Dondoyano of Branch 6 of 9RTC, Dipolog City, dated March 10, 2018, for the crime of Attempted Murder with CC no, 19054 with no bail bond recommended.

The suspect is presently detained at said police station.

Violation of COMELEC Liquor Ban in Dapitan City

Dapitan City - On May 14, 2018 at about 2:15 AM, Personnel of Dapitan CPS conducted mobile patrol along Sunset Blvd, Brgy Dawo, Dapitan City and caught in the act the person identified as Bryan Ontowa Calibod, 30 years old, single, and a resident of Davao City drinking intoxicating liquor on the bay walk of said place.

Confiscated from his possession was an empty bottle of 1000 ML Redhorse Beer, pitcher and three (3) pcs drinking glasses.

Arrested suspect was brought to Jose Rizal Memorial District Hospital for medical examination and liquor test.

Arrested person was brought to Dapitan CPS for further investigation.

Drug Suspect Arrested in Dapitan City

On May 11, 2018 at about 1:30 PM, Joint Operation conducted by Dapitan CPS personnel together with Dipolog CPS personnel and PDEA Zamboanga del Norte conducted buy-bust operation at Brgy Larayan, Dapitan City.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Vierna Pantoja Guinares, 42 years old, married, a resident of Orchid Villas, Brgy Sta. Isabel, Dipolog City.

Recovered from her possession and control were:

one (1) piece heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu as buy-bust evidence; Two (2) pcs heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu;

One (1) pc one-thousand-peso bill with serial number EA022666 as buy-bust money;

One (1) pc brown coin purse.

Suspect now detained at Dapitan CPS for filing of appropriate charges in court.

Suspect of hacking arrested in Dapitan City

DAPITAN CITY (May 11, 2019) - Be informed that at about 3:00 PM of May 09, 2018, SPO4 Jerry Sanggumay -CESPO informed Dapitan CPS that there was a hacking incident transpired at Purok Santan, Brgy Burgos, Dapitan City.

Upon the receipt of the said report, PNP personnel of Dapitan CPS led by SPO3 Noriel Bagalanon proceeded to the above mentioned place to verify the veracity of the report. Upon arrival of the abovementioned place they able to confirm the report.

The victim was identified as IVY BALASI y Omandam, 47 years old, single with live-in partner and a resident of Purok Santan, Brgy Burgos, Dapitan City. The suspect was identified as RICARDO FALCONETE y Daganasul, 30 years old, male, single and a resident of Purok Santan, Brgy, Burgos, Dapitan City.

Initial investigation conducted by PO2 Nick Quimiguing, disclosed that at around 2:50 PM of May 09, 2018, while the victim was searching her bolo outside their house, he asked the suspect if the bolo was kept by him. However, the suspect denied and got angry and immediately without apparent reason hacked the victim with the used of curve bolo hitting on her wrist.

After the incident, the suspect fled away from the crime scene but later arrested by the responding PNP personnel. The suspect believed under the influence of liquor. The victim was brought to ZANORTE Medical Hospital for medical treatment while suspect was brought to Dapitan CPS for filling of appropriate charges in court. For Information. (By JONG CADION)
